modell-hobby-spiel is the largest modelling, model railways, creative design, games and toys show open to the general public and catering for visitors from the five states of Eastern Germany, Bavaria and Hesse as well as the Czech Republic and Poland.

It will be taking place for the 15th time in 2010.

In 2009, 630 exhibitors from 11 countries presented a comprehensive overview of the sector and introduced their new products. Workshops and product ranges to try out in all areas encourage people to have a go and show how much fun it can be to pursue a hobby.

Over 600 exhibitors demonstrate the latest innovations, classics, products and services and offer suggestions, tips and tricks relating to the most popular hobby topics. Whether creative enthusiasts, such as painting, handicraft and decor friends, visitors interested in handiwork or games fans, collectors, model railway aficionados, model makers, recreational skippers, RC race and flight champions – this exhibition offers fun, thrills, play and interesting attractions for everybody. It is the event for games and hobby enthusiasts, children, young people and families. Anybody looking for exciting suggestions for their hobby, attractive and practical leisure activities or simply wishing to spend the entire day trying handicrafts, painting, building and playing will not only find a wealth of ideas here, but also many tips for Christmas presents.

modell-hobby-spiel offers ideas for teachers, carers, therapists and other professionals and also at the same time supplies the necessary materials for their work.

In 2009 there were 98,300 visitors (figures ratified by FKM) plus about another 8,000 children under the age of 7 to help decide what to buy.
Even before the event had finished, 91% of all exhibitors said that they wanted to come again. 91 % of exhibitors said they had achieved their exhibition goal completely.

modell-hobby-spiel will be held for the 15th time in 2010. 95 % of visitors already stated during the 2009 event that they planned to return and recommend the fair to others. The exhibition has a strong appeal, with 43 % of visitors travelling a distance of more than 100 km to enjoy the event.

Thanks to its favourable dates, modell-hobby-spiel offers an important impulse to a successful Christmas trade! 95 % of visitors have already purchased something at modell-hobby-spiel. Wishes are stimulated which are then transferred into annual sales.
